Prometheus

Prometheus was a Titan who fought for the Greek Gods against the other Titans. As thanks, Zeus entrusted him to create the humans.

He loved his creations and wanted to see them succeed. So he stole fire from Mt Olympus and gave it to the humans.

This angered Zeus, who punished Prometheus. He was chained to a mountain, where an eagle would tear into him and eat his liver. As he was immortal, he would heal every night, only for the process to repeat the next day.
